It includes two specialized UEs: astrophysics (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/astrophysique-1-KNR3PQBF.html\" target=\"_blank\">astrophysique<\/a>, 3 ECTS) and general relativity and cosmology (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/cosmologie-1-KNR3PP56.html\" target=\"_blank\">relativit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale et cosmologie<\/a>, 3 ECTS), as well as a workshop of observational astrophysics (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/projet-astrophysique-1-KNR3PPI2.html\" target=\"_blank\">atelier d\u2019astrophysique observationnelle<\/a>, 3 ECTS), which occurs in the domes of building 13 (Triolet campus). One UE of English (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/anglais-KNR3PPQU.html\" target=\"_blank\">anglais<\/a>, 2 ECTS) completes the 30 ECTS of semester 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"185\" src=\"https:\/\/master-astrophysique.univ-lyon1.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/S1_Montpellier_2021-2026-2-1024x185.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/master-astrophysique.univ-lyon1.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/S1_Montpellier_2021-2026-2-1024x185.png 1024w, https:\/\/master-astrophysique.univ-lyon1.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/S1_Montpellier_2021-2026-2-300x54.png 300w, https:\/\/master-astrophysique.univ-lyon1.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/S1_Montpellier_2021-2026-2-768x138.png 768w, https:\/\/master-astrophysique.univ-lyon1.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/S1_Montpellier_2021-2026-2-1536x277.png 1536w, https:\/\/master-astrophysique.univ-lyon1.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/S1_Montpellier_2021-2026-2.png 1952w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Semestre 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Semester 2 includes two more UEs of fundamental physics: statistical physics (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/physique-statistique-KNR3Q3KY.html\" target=\"_blank\">physique statistique<\/a>) and advanced quantum physics (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/physique-quantique-avance-KNR3Q3IM.html\" target=\"_blank\">physique quantique avanc\u00e9e<\/a>), of 6 ECTS each, but is more specialized with the basic courses of astroparticles (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/astroparticules-1-KNR3Q3MY.html\" target=\"_blank\">astroparticules<\/a>, 3 ECTS), particle physics (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/physique-des-particules-1-KNR3Q3RK.html\" target=\"_blank\">physique des particules<\/a>, 3 ECTS), and fluid dynamics in astrophysics and cosmology (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/formations.umontpellier.fr\/fr\/formations\/master-XB\/master-physique-fondamentale-et-applications-ME155\/astrophysique-IWVYR3WU\/m1-astro-ccp-KK6OTZE4\/dynamique-des-fluides-en-astrophysique-et-cosmologie-KNR3Q3P9.html\" target=\"_blank\">dynamique des fluides en astrophysique et cosmologie<\/a>, 2 ECTS).
